Sam Bat Fall League

Sam Bat is pleased to announce a partnership with Andrew Beattie of Power Alley Marketing to introduce Sam Bat Fall Leagues across North America. Partnered with local teams and organizations across the United States and Canada, an all wood bat fall baseball league for local players between the ages of 11-18 have been introduced. Leagues have been started in California, Texas, Tennessee, Alabama, New Jersey, West Virginia, Illinois, Pennsylvania, Maryland, and right in Sam Bat's hometown of Ottawa.

The growth of the game at this age group is key to the success of baseball in the future. It gets players interested in baseball for more than just the usual 4 month summer season, and helps them grow as players. All the leagues are run by the best coaches in the area so the players are getting top notch skill development.

The focus will be on advancing the players overall game and teaching them proper hitting techniques. This is done by giving players our premium maple bats, just like the pros use! Hitting with a wood bat at a younger age teaches the players proper mechanics. Wood bats actually make the hitter better at making solid contact with the ball. This is because metal bats are very forgiving and can make solid contact even if the ball does not hit the sweet spot. Hitting with wood bats makes the batter hit the ball on the true sweet spot, making them a better overall hitter.

Furthermore, it teaches players to use their whole body to swing, not just their arms. With metal bats, players can get away with only swinging with their arms because the bat does most of the work. With wood, the ball will not travel at all unless you are using your whole body. Using wood not only helps players make better contact, but it helps them learn to use their whole body as well. With our hard, premium maple bats there is less flex to the bats, which causes the balls to travel farther.

Hitting with wood also is beneficial to younger players who are wanting to play at a higher level. Most elite levels of youth baseball use wood bats so getting used to using wood bats at a younger age will better prepare them for making elite level teams in the future. It takes time getting used to using wood bats over metal, so it is important to start at an early age so that they are prepared to have a good season once they start playing at a high level.

Sam Bat is pleased to be helping the next generation of superstars get their playing career off and running. Find the Sam Bat Fall League nearest you and Set Your Own Records.

I just wanted to thank you for having the Sam Bat Fall League in WV this year. Jeremy Cummings did a wonderful job of running the league. The communication was great....not at all what we are accustomed to with little league. Everyone involved with the league this fall did a great job, all the coaches and players displayed wonderful sportsmanship and a great love for the game. My son was the smallest and youngest on his team yet always felt like he belonged. He was always encouraged by Jeremy, the coaches, and his teammates. I feel like his baseball IQ, as well as his ability level both improved over the last few weeks. He is already asking if he can sign up again next year. Thank you and everyone involved for making this such a great experience for the players as well as the parents.
